#627 - Relationship Between Courage & Learning: Learning & Leadership Have This In Common

Everybody says they want feedback but when they get it, it is always scary. John Maxwell said, “Feedback is the breakfast of champions!” It takes courage to open yourself up to new information about yourself and learn. It certainly takes courage to become vulnerable and expose your weakness.

When you show vulnerability, especially in public. It takes courage to admit that you need help in some areas. Listen to this, people who say “I need help in this area,” or “Can I ask you a question?” get more respect than those who don’t have the guts to ask the right questions. Do you want to know why? Because leadership, for the most part, is a process of learning. Leaders learned how to become leaders and they are not afraid to ask for help and people will respect them for it.
