Work from Home Zoom Bloopers!

What happens during Zoom calls, doesn’t stay in Zoom calls

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, work-from-home (WFH) in the new norm. Cubicles have become sofas, water coolers have become kitchens, and usually, employees wear whatever they want.

During this transition, there are bound to be some hurdles along the way—and funny ones at that. Zoom has become a staple for meetings and regular check-ins. So I’ve compiled a few funny Zoom call fails that people have shared. I hope you enjoy a good laugh.

1.     Loving your husband’s teammates isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it can make for a good laugh!

2.     Rule #1 of Zoom is to put yourself on mute, but it’s hard to do that when you’re supposed to be the one talking. And of course, your family ends up doing or saying something at that moment! Check out these funny accounts of Zoom failures.

3.     Want to experience being a potato? A camera app that works pretty well with Zoom—it’s called SnapCamera--has a TON of filters. One of its cutest features is the user turning herself or himself into a potato. But fair warning: figure out how to turn the feature off too.

4.     There’s a sudden turn up of furry officemates! It has become commonplace to have pet dogs and cats showing up in a Zoom call…

These are just a few examples of Zoom fails. If you want to get your hands on more, you can check out FastCompany, Global News, Ruin My Week, Bored Panda, and Mashable.

I hope you got a smile out of a few of these. If you want pure joy (and a few tears), be certain to check out Some Good News to see how a celebrity is working with his kids to find some good stuff happening around the world.

Back to leadership next week.
