What’s Really Important?

You have to know to be an exemplary leader

We’re covering the 5 most important fundamentals of leadership. These are proven with over a million data points! And we are already learning more about #2.

The first fundamental was all about believing that you can be a leader. If you don’t believe that, you won’t try. The second is ‘aspiring to excel.’ What does this mean? In a nutshell, it means IF YOU CARE, you’ll want to get better.

So, ask yourself these questions:

  1. What are the things you care about?
  2. What are the principles that you believe in?
  3. What are your core values?

It ends up that the best, most committed leaders in the world have really “connected” with what is most important to them! They know what they care about and why. This reveals to others the type of leader you really are.

People who are 100% in tune with their principles and beliefs will not be swayed by trends or peer pressure. They are able to lead based on what they believe in, not the latest fad or the current opinions of others. They will be more consistent with their values and behavior—because they care… and they know what’s important to them.

The best leaders have core beliefs. Do you? Can you name one or two of them? Are you willing to step up and lead in that area? The world needs you.
