This picture was discussed in the book Learning Leadership under the first fundamental of GREAT leadership… You must believe that YOU can make a difference. If you don’t, you won't try.

Why is this fundamental number 1? There’s a reason why this is the first fundamental. It’s because before you learn how to lead or even strive to improve, you have to believe that you can.

Again, if you don’t believe it, you won’t even try.You won’t put in the effort to become a better leader.

This leads to a watershed moment. It’s when you come to realize that no one else can put “leadership” inside of you. We can teach you skills and give you insights, but your leadership is already there… you must bring it to the OUTSIDE.

Be the cat that believes he’s the fiercest tiger! Believe you can.

BOTTOM LINE: If you believe that you can or you cannot—you are right!
