Great Leaders FAIL

We all fail; winners learn to fail forward...

Good leaders are sometimes risk takers—and risk takers fail.  When you try new things, you are going to fail and that’s okay!

Those who fail are not losers; quite the opposite is true. Keep reading.

Kouzes and Posner, the most prolific leadership researchers in the world say this: “Leadership is not about playing it safe, and learning is not about doing what you already know how to do.”

Get this through your thick skull now and forevermore: failure is NOT a dead end, it’s a learning opportunity. Check out this blog from last year on what to do when you experience failure.

There is one type of failure that is the hardest and the absolute best to learn from: failure of character. That’s when you do something wrong, you knew it was wrong, but you didn’t have the character, discipline, or emotional energy to correct your bad behavior. Now it has jumped up and bit you on the rear. It’s time for a change. Are you ready to change?

You have to start with forgiveness. Here are the two steps. After you apologize and seek forgiveness, Immediately begin to think about what you will do different in the future. What will it take to become that new kind of person? The great thing about mistakes is that you get to learn from them and be an even better leader.

BOTTOMLINE: EVERYONE FAILS! WINNERS HAVE A DIFFERENT MINDSET. The successful people fail, but they fail FORWARD.

Can’t wait to see all the new things you will learn! LEARN THE STEPS, then don’t fear failure, fear not learning from it!
